Pro5X has excellent course coverage and accuracy. It’s quite bulky, but the detailed maps and performance are worth the trade-off.
Trees in the way.
by Herbert
I have played with golfers that use a visual distance finder, that have asked me for the distance, because they were behind trees and couldn't see the flag. With this unit nothing blocks it.
Love bright screen
by Carl
Latest model of several over the years. Love it except at time moving pin placement will not move or jumps to location without being able to move it to correct location. I don’t like the fact that after 18 holes I have to go to number 1 again to get save round.
A solid, accurate tool
by Scott
Just recently received my Pro 5X. My last GPS was a SX500. All the functions are similar so the change was seemless. Being my 3rd SkyCaddie, The yardage numbers compare to other GPS units. But I rely on mine, every hole. I use the scoring on the unit too. I use the hotspot on my phone for syncing after each round. Hopefully this will last longer than 5 years. ($130 a year is expensive for gps service (gps plus yearly subscription) The charging port failed on the SX500 after warranty was up, but couldn’t get it repaired. As far as the Pro5x, it’s a solid tool the gives accurate information to improve your game. The rest is up to you.
